Opened in November 2019, the Lunping Cultural Park was formerly a receiving station affiliated with a telecom provider during the Showa era of Japanese colonization. It was then renovated by the Taoyuan government while preserving most of its greenery and natural landscape, making it a secret retreat in Taoyuan. The park comprises the Turtle Shell Arena, Central Meadow, and Hakka Craftsmanship Complex. The Hakka Craftsmanship Complex includes the Hakka Craftsmanship Hall and the Haoke Hakka Deli. The former encompasses all walks of life, including carpentry indigo dyeing, bamboo weaving, grass weaving, and textiles and furniture, all of which contribute to the development and heritage of Hakka craftsmanship in Taoyuan. The Turtle Shell Arena is a facility with a wooden structure resembling a turtle shell in which galleries and performances are held, along with areas available for cultural goods on sale. The Central Meadow features beautiful and spacious greenery where picnics and tea banquets can be held.
